DESCRIPTION

This workshop provides an introduction to the modern business environment of
the shipping industry. It aims to familiarize students with the maritime
business entrepreneurship, the current trends and challenges of the sector,
as well as the future business developments and prospects. Furthermore, it
builds on some key functions of the shipping business profession, including
sources of capital in shipping, shipbroking and chartering practices, CSR in
shipping, as well as strategic ship management in turbulent periods. The
workshop is given by some of the most experienced and renowned business
practitioners, which are invited as guest speakers, and which are considered
as experts in their business field.
