EUROMONEY’S GREECE CONFERENCE RETURNS TO ATHENS

Euromoney is delighted to be returning to Athens for the Greece Privatisation and Investment Forum on Thursday 19 September.

The Greek government is keen to move swiftly on from the first stage of bringing Greece back from the crisis to the next step - reforms that will put the Greek economy on a more stable, longer-term economic footing.

Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance, the Forum will be opened by the Minister of Finance, Yannis Stournaras. The event will be attended by over 200 policymakers, business heads and international investors keen to discuss the opportunities in Greece’s privatisation programme.

Euromoney will punch through the bleak headlines and explore the realities of Greece's growth potential with a range of international portfolio and direct investors. Christos Megalou, Chief Executive Officer of Eurobank andHans Humes, Chief Executive of Greylock Capital Management will participate in one-on-one interviews at the Forum. Other programme highlights include discussions on the official task force on privatisation, Greece’s corporate sector, and opportunities for private sector investment as a result of the economic restructuring in Greece.  Joly Dixon, Special Adviser to the European Commission Task Force for Greece, Ben May, European Economist, Capital Economics, Constantinos Antonopoulos, Chief Executive Officer, INTRALOT, Hubert Cottogni, Deputy Director, European Investment Fund, Stephanos Issais, Chief Executive Officer, Invest in Greece, and Socrates G. Lazaridis, Chief Executive Officer, Hellenic Exchanges S.A are among the speakers who will provide their expert opinions on the day.

The Forum will provide a unique platform for international and domestic actors to be part of the next chapter in the re-making of Greece’s economy.
